About Us

About Punjabi Villans
The Punjabi Villans are a dedicated and vibrant Aston Villa lions group, committed to celebrating our shared love for the club while promoting diversity and inclusion within the beautiful game. Founded in 2012, our group was created with the mission to unite fans from all backgrounds and to provide a welcoming space for the British South Asian community at Villa Park.
Our name, "Punjabi Villans," is a proud declaration of our heritage and our unwavering support for Aston Villa. We are more than just a fan group; we are a community that champions the Punjabi culture of equality and togetherness. We believe that football should be accessible to everyone, regardless of creed, color, or background.
Over the years, the Punjabi Villans have become a recognized voice for diversity in football. We have worked closely with Aston Villa Football Club and other organizations like Kick It Out and the Football Supporters' Association on initiatives to make the sport more inclusive. We have hosted charity events, such as a successful Diwali fundraiser at Villa Park, and have been involved in educational efforts to combat racism and promote understanding among fans.
Our work has not gone unnoticed. We were honored to be named "Best Fan Group" at the Asian Football Awards, a testament to our efforts in championing the South Asian community and enhancing equality.
As we continue to grow, we remain dedicated to our core values: supporting Aston Villa with passion, celebrating our heritage with pride, and building a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all fans. We invite you to join our community and be a part of the Punjabi Villans family.
